Are you a mighty dragon?
Only mighty dragon dare crosses the oceans
To start with, I shall quote from an old Chinese sayings; "Only mighty dragon dare crosses the oceans" . In this particular case, I am referring to all fellow ex-Kampar ACSians who travel to overseas for a job or just to support his/her partner. Being so far away from home requires tremendous courage and great survival skills. If you are one of these elite group members (i.e. one of the mighty dragons), I hope you can write something as an inspiration to our fellow ACSian.
However life was really cheap there, as I remembered the compensation paid to the bereaved family of a worker electrocuted while working in the water tank room at my block was only a mere US$50! ...
The locals look upon Malaysians with admiration for their linguistic ability, as most of them are well verse with Mandarin & Taiwanese dialect; which we call Hokkien in Malaysia & Singapore. Malaysians are better off for knowing at least 3 other Chinese dialects besides English, Malay & Mandarin. And with the good command in English, we act as more of a bridge across the Caucasian expatriates and the locals hence were called upon to do translation most of the time. This is the advantage of being a Malaysian abroad, multi-lingual ability.
